Mixed Method Research in Support of Coastal Restoration

This project demonstrates an application developed to support volunteer-led restoration efforts of sea urchin habitat using a mixed-methods approach. The model developed automates a process currently conducted through field research. The approach incorporates OpenDroneMap, ArcGIS Pro, QGIS and field data to produce a supervised object-based image of sea urchin habitats in tide pools along the Orange County Coast.
