“From Pixels to People: Mapping Voices in the Geospatial Sector in the 21st Century,” my StoryMap contribution, examines the diverse terrain of the geospatial industry from an inclusive and diverse perspective. Using knowledge from “585 Geospatial Project Management,” this project explores the constantly changing interactions between people, places, and technology in the geospatial domain.

Beyond the confines of conventional cartography, my StoryMap will provide an engrossing storyline that highlights the diverse range of viewpoints and data among the geospatial community. My research attempts to rethink how we view and comprehend the geospatial world by mapping the many skill sets that contribute to it and emphasizing marginalized voices.

Using interactive mapping and creative storytelling, “Mapping Voices” aims to start a wider discussion on diversity in geospatial projects. I thus extend an invitation to viewers to interact with this StoryMap, investigating the interrelated trajectories that mold the geospatial future while honoring the many contributions that foster a vibrant community.
